A powerful spirit lives in the mountain of rock that towers over Yunshan. He is Fang Quiang (Fang Key-ang), The Sleeping Mountain, Old Black Stripe. Many of Fanlu’s most venerable citizens have stories of Fang Quiang, coming to them in dreams to deliver some piece of important wisdom, or a warning. The old timers whisper of times long ago, when the town was a much smaller settlement and threatened with destruction…when Fang Quiang walked out of the mountain, a massive man made of stone, with a vein of living obsidian running up his body, who mercilessly wreaked havoc on those who tried to take Fanlu.
